Bruno Vlahek gave an interview to Mrs.
Elly van der Heide
for the Dutch newspaper "De
Weekkrant" on the occasion
of the Dutch premiere of his choral
piece "Hodie Christus Natus Est".
The piece will be performed by the
Scherzando Choir led by
conductor Reinhard Reed Findenegg at
the concert
which takes place on 18th December at
the St. Petrus'
Banden Church in Driebergen (The
Netherlands).

Special concert "Musicians for peace"
in Moscow
Moscow / November 1, 2011

Bruno Vlahek will perform at the
unique special concert "Musicians for Peace" which will take place on
November 1, 2011, in Moscow, at the Hall of Church Councils, Cathedral
of Christ the Saviour. As a Croatian representative, Bruno will join a
crew of 13 leading international pianists from 11 countries (Azerbaijan,
Armenia, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Japan, Russia, Serbia,
Turkey) whose joint performances will demonstrate an example of unity
and reconciliation between different cultures and countries through
music. The event is supported by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow
and All Russia, and endorsed by the Russian Orthodox Church and Moscow
Government. This unique concert is being organized by a partnership of
the Lira Ltd. and Art-Brand Artist Management. Alexander Ghindin, Artist
of Merit of the Russian Federation, is the project's Artistic Director.

Bruno Vlahek wins the Pnina Salzman
Award in Israel

Bruno Vlahek has won the 2011 Pnina
Salzman Memorial Prize which he received as an outstanding
participant of the 20th Tel-Hai International Piano
Master Classes in Israel. In three weeks of courses,
lectures and concerts which were held in Sde Boker in the south of the
country, 80 chosen young pianists from all around the world has worked
under guidance of today's leading pianists and pedagogues.
As a winner of this prestigeous award
which is named after the famous "First Lady of piano in Israel", Bruno
has performed at the course's Closing gala concert held in Tel Aviv
Museum of Art on August 18th.

announced the best student of the academic
year 2010/11 at
the Piano Catedra of the Queen Sofia
College of
Music in Madrid! He is currently
studying at
this prestigious institution in the class
of legendary
Russian pianist and pedagogue Dmitri Bashkirov.
This high award
was given to him at the ceremony in the
Royal Palace of
El Pardo in Madrid on June 22nd from
the hands of
Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain.

Scholarship Award

won the YMFE's 2011
(Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe 2011) piano competition
held on March 29th in Madrid. Among the five finalists who have
been chosen
at the prequalifications to pass to the final round,
jury
unanimously awarded Bruno Vlahek with the prestigious
Yamaha
scholarship which is dedicated to support
of young
musicians in Europe.

"Momentary pleasures" for which

the final concert on Tuesday 4 May at the Eugene Goossens Hall, ABC Centre

Competition "A. Scriabin" (Concours International de Piano Alexandre
Scriabine)

February this year in Paris,
Bruno Vlahek won the first prize. The jury of
which the chairman was Mikhail Voskresensky - one of the
greatest figures in
today's pianistic world, awarded him
also with
a special distinction "Avec félicitations".
Bruno Vlahek competed and won the first
prize in the
highest category of the competition -
Superieur II.
