Bruno Vlahek
finalist
of the
Busoni Competition
At the
qualification round of the prestigious International Piano Competition
"Ferruccio Busoni"
(August 25 - September 3 2008) in Italy, Bruno Vlahek entered among the 24
finalists who will compete for the Busoni Prize in 2009.
The Busoni Competition belongs to
the world's hardest and most important piano competitions with tradition
long for 60 years. The finalists were chosen from the 150 addmitted young
pianists from all over the world. The international jury was consisted of
some of today's most prominent pianists and piano teachers. On September
3, Bruno Vlahek also took part at the eminent Busoni Festival held in
Bolzano.

Bruno Vlahek winner of the Ricard
Vines Competition
Bruno Vlahek won the First prize
at the 14th International Piano Competition Ricard Viñes which took place
from 6th to 9th July 2008 in Lleida (Spain).
Among strong international competition,
Vlahek had the best results in all three stages of the competition. In the final
round, held in Auditorium "Enric Granados", Vlahek performed the Second piano
concerto by Camille Saint-Saëns with accompaniment of pianist Dubravka
Vukalovic.
Beside financial part, the Ricardo Viñes Award includes a series of recitals and
concerts with eminent orchestras in the most prestigious concert halls of
Catalonia.
At the recital in Barcelona in next season, Bruno Vlahek will also receive
Honorary Diploma from the ‘Academia de Belles Arts de Sabadell’ from Barcelona.
